My account was with an original creditor which forwarded it to a series agency. I never paid anything at all, saw the original creditor once more (I didn't know the account is at collections), and now cheap new balance 574 have a fresh bill that hasn't been paid out by my insurance company. Take a look at your original contract with the creditor and see if there is a clause that allows correctly. Then, when you go to court, ask the judge about it. Simply because they ask for that extra money doesn't mean the judge may award it.
